Not only did I get to the second floor yesterday, but I climbed the ladder. What’s up there? The third floor is coming together and looking solid. Mostly. On the way down, I noticed something on the first floor. Uh oh. No more creeping around!

Dropped by the Psyshic Temple yesterday, saw a truck outside, and wondered what was going on. Bad timing. The stairway was blocked by workers so I had to settle for a spy photo through the shaft where the elevator will go. I moved on without seeing the latest construction, but now I realize that I…

Work continues on the second floor, where walls are being formed along with the third floor. While the high ceiling and open area were airy and beautiful, it’s exciting to see the structure being transformed into a usable workspace. Oh, hang on a second. Time for lunch. Okay, back to work… More soon.  

The neatly lined squares on the exterior suggest to passersby where the third floor supports are being installed. They are visible on the rear wall, as well. Coming up the stairs, the work is obvious. No more high ceiling. Old walls surrounding new wood everywhere! One can almost see the workspace taking shape…  

As a result of tension rods running across the upper floors of the Psychic Temple, steel plates will be visible from the sidewalk. The two squares above the ladder are among the first, and they reflect how carefully and thoughtfully they will be arranged on the building’s historic façade.

The building is fully supported now, which means that the third floor is finally going up! The pile of beautiful old wood in the center of the space is going to be reused and the planks will look even better after everything is sandblasted. The new structure is quite strong.
