The second and third floors of the Psychic Temple are open and inviting (click images for a better view) and they’ll basically stay that way. The offices of interTrend won’t be divided by many walls, cubicle or otherwise. Following the lead of Frank Lloyd Wright–who was following the lead of Ralph Waldo Emerson and other transcendentalists–it will be a communal workplace with an open plan.
And although laptops have freed workers from traditional offices with large desks and filing cabinets, no coffee shop can replace a shared space where teams of collaborators can come together, trade ideas, and spark each others’ imaginations. The open office floor plans are being tweaked, suitable furniture is being considered, and construction continues… More to come.
